For whom: Librarians and Scientific Information professionals from all types of Polish libraries, as well as scientific and academic publishers. All researchers involved in library science, scientific information and publishing.
Fee: 300 zlotys (paid till 29th July 2007) or 350 zlotys (paid between 30th June and 30th September). Fee includes the following: conference materials, publications on CDs, translations of guests' lectures, snacks during breaks, a cultural evening party, a formal dinner.
Assumptions: The conference organizers would like to present Open Access Movement from the beginning till present time, particularly in Europe, its aims and their realization, practical organizational models for repositories and open access journals and their technological base. The organizers plan to encourage discussions on legal aspects, which are vital for creating open archives. The scope of the conference is to convince librarians and publishers that the Open Access Movement may help to build the new scientific communication model, in which there is place for all actors of the market: public as well as commercial ones in the way to build an impression that each citizen can benefit by open access!

Conference Programme
All EBIB conferences always put an emphasis on discussions and experience exchanges. Therefore, it is anticipated that more time will be spent on discussions rather than on lectures. Foreign lecturers are expected to give lectures in English only.
Lecture texts
Lecture texts are going to be reviewed by the committee of the conference and published in Polish language (with an abstract in English) in a series Materiały Konferencyjne EBIB edited by Barbara Szczepańska.
Abstracts submission deadline: May 30th, 2007.
Deadline for lecture texts: June 30th, 2007
