"Cała Polska czyta dzieciom" ('All Poles Reading To Their Kids') - this particular foundation has been successfully promoting both reading to children and encouraging them to read. Between May 10, 2004 and June 10, 2004, a marathon of bookselling will be held, under the banner of: 'One company - one book'.

The purpose of this initiative is to revitalise the culture of reading in Poland which, sadly, has been in decline in recent years due to lack of easy access to books. During the last decade, some 1,500 libraries have been closed, as well as great many places with books to borrow. The book contents of many libraries have been steadily deteriorating. Therefore, any company, firm or enterprise, as well as any person's participation in this worthwhile initiative -in the shape of donating or funding even a single book-- is welcome and encouraged.
