Professional characteristics: I am a total optimist. I have been working for
the university library since 1982. I graduated from the department of
Polish philology of the University of Wroclaw. My original plan was to
become a journalist and I have accomplished that goal in a way. I have
busied myself with editing web pages in my place of work and those of
EBIB.
My adventure with the Internet started in 1993 and since that time I
have
been employing this medium for increasing the quality of my work and other
tasks. In my opinion, any decent science centre should have a network on
its premises.
I hope that EBIB in time will become a lively, bouncy, democratic and
professional library forum and will contribute greatly in making a
positive change in Polish librarianship.
In my spare time, I volunteer my time in many professional
associations.
I have a big family: a husband, three great kids and two cats. We live
in Torun, in close proximity of a beautiful stretch of forest. I am
interested in jazz, literature, political and economical issues, I do
sports - biking and swimming.
