Studies on the readership of children and young adults in the 1990s: survey of publications.
The article discusses efforts to analyse readership of children and young adults in the 1990s and early 21st century, when attempts were made to determine the reading interests and choices of children and young adults, as well as, the status of reading in respect to other ways of spending free time. The author tries to answer the question of what books appeal to young adults the most and what determines their interest. The article is accompanied by a list of publications.

What do the middle school students read?
The article is based on Public Opinion Research Center (CBOS) surveys conducted in 70 middle schools in various regions of Poland, in May 2003. The goal of the study was to determine the percentage of young adults who read books and what they read, as well as, to identify a group of students that do not read at all, or cannot keep up with longer texts.

Model libraries for young clients.
"Biblioteka dla młodych klientów" (Library for young clients) is a project of the Bertelsmann Foundation and public libraries in Wrocław and Olsztyn. The article presents the principles of the project and its realization. It describes the plans and objectives of both libraries, their localisation and a wealth of services offered by these institutions.
