Ewa Malesza General Characteristics of Polish Libraries' Home Pages
The article deals with a content of home pages maintained by Polish libraries.
The intention is to summarize author's view on the Polish network resources,
rather than provide a comprehensive catalogue or a detailed description of
the existing home pages. The article discusses analogies in design,
and the visual esthetics of Polish libraries' home pages.

Anna Pepol The Evaluation of the Library Related Web Pages
The article is intended as a voice in a discussion on the value of Web
pages as sources of information. The parallel between a verification of
printed resources and a link or an electronic source of information is
drawn. The author stresses a content of the source, the origin of the
information, and a simplicity of a graphic interface as main criteria for
a Web pages evaluation.

The Technical Design of the Interactive and Dynamic WWW Pages
The article outlines WWW technology and history. A simple description of
HTTP, CGI and HTML is provided and some historical information on the
development of the Internet given. The author places her emphasis on the
Apache server configuration to utilized SSI and CGI scripts.

Libraries as an Example of an Implementation of Hypertext in
Hypermedia Resources
The article presents a multimedia Web project called A virtual history of
books and libraries. The design of a virtual publication is described and
a value of the Internet as an education tool discussed.
Art.5:
Maciej Romaniak Automation of the Webmaster's Duties. The
BK ReplaceEm Program
The article describes an implementation of the BK ReplaceEm automation
program to improve a Webmaster's productivity in the area of network
administration. Following problems are discussed: generation of basic HTML
documents, "Search and Replace" operations for multiply characters,
truncation and wild card search options, boolean searching, and insertion
of text into existing HTML documents.

This article is a short listing of the printed and electronic resources of
value in the basic understanding of the HTML. Mostly in Polish, the
